Electricity is classified as a secondary energy source; it’s created from other sources of energy such as fossil fuels, hydro, nuclear, solar, and wind. AES California uses clean natural gas and other alternate energy sources to generate electricity. 

Where does electricity begin? 

The process of producing and delivering electricity is done in three main steps:  generation, transmission and distribution.
